What IS a booster club?

A booster club is defined as "an organization that is formed to help support the efforts of a sports team or organization.  Support is shown in many ways, including volunteering time, raising money, and contributing funds to better enhance the team or organization's performance.”  Another definition is "a booster club provides enthusiastic support of a team or organization.”   Booster clubs play a key role in supporting athletics in many ways, and we are very thankful for the positive contributions our booster club provides to our program.

The purpose of the Heritage High School  Booster Club is to assist with fundraising opportunities, help manage and distribute funds, promote attendance and spirit at athletic events, provide parent-oriented assistance to the program, promote awareness of the important relationship between success in athletics and academics, and especially advocate for, not just Heritage Football, but Heritage Athletics in our community.

Best Practices:

     - Volunteer time

     - Raise money

     - Contribute funds to better enhance the team ororganization's performance

     - Print/sell promotional items like team schedules, programs, and yearbooks

     - Financially support the program by providing additional funding for coaches, staff, and eventworkers

     - Organize team events, such as pre- or post-game dinners or social events during the season

     - Listen and work closely with the head coach, as the head coach is the director of the football program
